Eliminating and avoiding waste is paramount. Always.
And in the face of rising commodity and energy prices, it has become imperative at all levels. As a result, you will not only learn how to recognise waste and eliminate it at work but you will also learn how to avoid it.
Activities like doing the same work twice, correcting mistakes or waiting, are common types of waste. In addition, these activities are neither rewarding nor satisfying.
Besides being tiring, they create frustration and dissatisfaction with work. This kind of waste can be difficult to measure or quantify in economic terms.
Once you are able to identify waste, eliminating it will become an all-around good habit that benefits everyone: organisations and individuals.
Your objective is to
- Identify waste and activities that do not add value
- Eliminate all kinds of waste
- Create environment-friendly, efficient workflows
You will learn how to
- Carefully manage and target the use of resources, not only as key principles for cost-effectiveness and process efficiency but also to make the work of individuals and teams less burdensome and more fulfilling.
